    Head To Desk
Apparently, I have been a very, very bad author. All my characters are refusing to talk to me and every last plot bunny just up and died. I am tapped out, nada, zippo, zilch. I have nothing rattling around up in the old cranium.

In other words WRITER'S BLOCK! Oh and that pitiful whimpering in the background, would be me feeling sorry for myself.

Man What A Mad Mad Month
We are still in the same place. Thank goodness. Apparently, our landlord was using some duplicitous dealing to try and get us out. He told us one reason ( a perfectly legal one) and put a different reason on the request for eviction that he filed with the court system.(He claimed we were in arrears, we aren't and haven't been)

So here we still are and this month the lousy git tried another tactic. Unfortunately for him, we are intelligent beings who do not frighten readily and stand up for our rights.

Sorry this update is so short but the landlord war seems to continue. I will send updates from the front line. At this point it's almost fun to try and guess what stupid human trick the man will come up with next.

Hmmmm, I Would Have Thought I Would Score Higher
I suppose that's what I get for thinking I'm so smart.

The household is in full crisis mode today as our landlord has just informed us we have 30 days to move. I sat down to decompress for a bit and update. I've checked with my lawyer and it appears the rotten blighter is within his rights, so I may be out of touch for a bit, but will let you know when I'm back up and running.

First let me say that as all who know me know, I do not support war in any form, but I realize that it is necessary to fight for some things. Having said that let me say, I do support our troops. They don't choose what fight they will go to, but they choose to serve so that loud mouths like me can enjoy the freedom to speak my mind.

I don't know who the originator of this poem is, but it was sent to me by an online friend and I wanted to share it with all of you. Let us all take a moment this holiday season to remember those who serve, whether they be American or of other nationality no matter their faith and send up your thoughts, prayers or good wishes that some day we will live in a world where peace on Earth and goodwill is a reality everyday and not just words on a Christmas card.

    A DIFFERENT CHRISTMAS POEM

The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light,
I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight.
My wife was asleep, her head on my chest,
My daughter beside me, angelic in rest.

Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white,
Transforming the yard to a winter delight.
The sparkling lights in the tree I believe,
Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve.

My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep,
Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep.
In perfect contentment, or so it would seem,
So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream.

The sound wasn't loud, and it wasn't too near,
But I opened my eyes when it tickled my ear.
Perhaps just a cough, I didn't quite know,
Then the sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow.

My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear,
And I crept to the door just to see who was near.
Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night,
A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight.

A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old,
Perhaps a Marine, huddled there in the cold.
Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled,
Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child.

"What are you doing?" I asked without fear,
"Come in this moment, it's freezing out here!
Put down your pack, brush the snow from your sleeve,
You should be at home on a cold Christmas Eve!"

For Barely a moment I saw his eyes shift,
Away from the cold and the snow blown adrift...
To the window that danced with a warm fire's light,
Then he sighed and he said, "Its really all right,
I'm out here by choice. I'm here every night."

"It's my duty to stand at the front of the line,
That separates you from the darkest of times.
No one had to ask or beg or implore me,
I'm proud to stand here like my fathers before me.

My gramps died at 'Pearl on a day in December,"
Then he sighed, "That's a Christmas my 'Gram will a remember."
My dad stood his watch in the jungles of 'Nam',
And now it is my turn and so, here I am.

I've not seen my own son in more than a while,
But my wife sends me pictures, he's sure got her smile.
Then he bent and he carefully pulled from his bag,
The red, white, and blue... an American Flag.

"I can live through the cold and the being alone,
Away from my family, my house and my home.
I can stand at my post through the rain and the sleet,
I can sleep in a foxhole with little to eat.

I can carry the weight of killing another,
Or lay down my life with my sister and brother...
Who stand at the front against any and all,
To ensure for all time that this flag will not fall.

"So go back inside," he said, "harbor no fright,
Your family is waiting and I'll be all right."
"But isn't there something i can do, at the least,
"Give you money," I asked, "or prepare you a feast?

It seems all too little for all that you've done,
For being away from your wife and your son."
Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret,
"Just tell us you love us, and never forget.

To fight for our rights back at home while we're gone,
To stand your own watch, no matter how long.
For when we come home, either standing or dead,
To know you remember we fought and we bled.
Is payment enough, and with that we will trust,
That we mattered to you as you mattered to us.

To any soldier reading this post whether at home or abroad:
May whatever God you worship hold you safe so that you may return to your loved ones. Know that you are not forgotten or shunned and from one loudmouth liberal, Thank you for standing the line.

    It Had To Be Done
I've notice several friends have done the letter to Santa so I had to do this one.

    Oh Great Cthulhu!

I have been an extremely busy devotee this year.

In November, I called down the wrath of Yog-Sothoth upon [info]cat_of_dreams (65 points). In August, I rescued [info]leighblack from being sacrificed (-200 points). In May, I burnt my copy of the Necronomicon (-75 points). In October, I defiled the grave of that traitor, Lovecraft (90 points). In February, I made a burnt offering to the Dead Dreamer (100 points). In July, I sacrificed [info]jordangirl to Cthulhu (500 points).

In short, I have been very good (480 points) and deserve to be promoted to High Priest.

    Oh Happy Chrismahanakwannzaka
I love the holidays, I love buying gifts for folks I love, I love carolers, I love department store Santas. I get a buzz starting December 1st and don't lose it until around mid January. But I don't like hearing Christmas carols 24 hours a day, everywhere I go from November 1st (or earlier). It does not put me in the holiday spirit and it does not make me spend more money. So please Mr./Ms. Retailer, Give me anything but Elvis' Blue Christmas on November 30th, no Jingle Bells while I walk through the store buying my Thanksgiving meal, no Oh Holy Night by Alvin and The Chipmunks on Halloween. What's next Silent Night as they shoot the fireworks on the Fourth Of July?

No wonder there are so many Scrooges today, the 'holiday spirit' get shoved down our throats starting in September. It's enough to make Tiny Tim say 'Bah Humbug'.

It's Official Folks and This Is The Last Installment
Check out the avatar people. I am a NANOWRIMO winner! Okay champagne for everyone (Grape juice for the underaged amongst you). Here is the last installment of the novel and now I'm going to have a nice scotch and put my feet up while I plan how to tear it apart and re-write it.

Once again the cutline is to give you a chance to back out before you hit the smut, although there isn't a lot of smut in this installment.

Well here is the next installment of the NANO folks and I missed getting any comments on the last one. I guess everyone's gearing up for the holidays, I know I should be. I need to finish cleaning my house and start cooking for Thanksgiving. As for the mood on this one, I just cracked open a brand new bottle of 12 year old Glenfiddich, so I am enjoying the libation of the Gods.

As I have said before behind the cutline is a story involving male/male pairing and sex. If these things offend you don't go there, otherwise enjoy.

Can we all say, thank God, it's over. Well sort of, because now that I have sweated out the last 1500 words I have more entries I want to add in and more things to say. But for now, I'm setting Diary of The Unrequited aside for a bit and doing other stuff, like fanfic100 for which I have written a big zip, zilch, nada.

Right now however, I am doing a Snoopy Dance around the computer desk and having a nice measure of scotch to celebrate. And I thought this was gonna be hard! I still have a lot more of this to post so hang on to your hats.

By the way, I finished in only 17 days!!!

Once more the warning: behind the cutline is smut and slash (for the uninitiated that means porn specifically male/male relationship with sexual situations) so if that offends you don't read it.

Well here is the next one folks and I'm almost home free.
As usual the cutline is there for a reason, if you are offended by same sex pairing and adult content, don't read past the cut.
If you do read past the cut tell me what you think and thanks to Dev and Jules who commented on the last entry.

Okay there is still the warning, although in this case there is only language and adult themes, no sexual situations. Please let me know what you think.

    Almost 29,000 Words and Counting
I only wrote a thousand words yesterday, but I guess I can allow myself a little break since, I have written almost 5000 words a day from early AM on the 2nd until yesterday. Okay for those of you who've been reading you know the warning so skip to the link. For those just joining us, shame on you go back and read the first three entries, no jumping into the middle. The cutline is there for a reason, this is an adult themed fan fiction. If you do not care for sexual content do not read it. If you do not enjoy male/male pairings do not read it. This next entry is almost pure smut so be warned , past the cut it's very hot.

If you are under age, reading behind the cutline can lead to blindness and hairy palms, so if I see any hirsute teenagers with glasses I will point and laugh. Now turn off the computer and go do your chores you little pervert.

Okay after the 10,000 word dump I pulled on you guys I decided that I'd do smaller postings, because frankly that is alot to read at one sitting. This is again behind a cut because of adult content. I will restate my warnings. if you don't like to read pornographic material, don't go ther and if male/male relationships turn you off again don't go there. If you click on the cut and then flame me for slashy smut, I will delete your comment because you've had fair warning. Now on with the next installment....

10,669 : That's How Many Words I have Written So Far
Okay here's the first installment of My NANOWRIMO novel (although at 50,000 words I suppose novella would be more appropriate), I used a cut line because this is an adult fiction. If you don't like reading stories involving sex, please don't look behind the cut. The pairing in this story is a slash or male/male pairing so if this offends you, again do not read. I would love reviews on this and really have to give a big thank you to goddessofsnark also known as smutnazi for the loan of her pairing and the broad plot. If it weren't for her I'd probably still be waiting on my muse to get off her big fat truffle-munching butt and inspire me. Now on to the first installment of my NANO

Here's the deal. I've spent every spare moment (almost, okay not even, but I've tried) casting about for a plot for NANOWRIMO which started two hours and twenty minutes ago and guess what? NO PLOT!!!! I am desperate here, people. I have less than thirty days to write 50,000 hopefully coherent words and I have NOTHING. My damn muse has gone on vacation and nothing is happening. Can we all say, nervous breakdown?

I know I can do this, if only I can come up with a plot. I write 20,000 word fanfiction in a weekend. HELP!!!! Does anyone have a spare muse lying around, if so send it my way, FEDEX!
